Vulcan’s origins trace back to 1865 in Louisville, Kentucky, where early foundry operations manufactured cooking stoves and related equipment. The Vulcan name first emerged in 1890 with the establishment of the Vulcan Gas Heating Company. Over the early 20th century, the brand expanded its product lines and reputation for quality. In 1949, Hart Manufacturing Company acquired the Vulcan name and formed Vulcan-Hart, further growing through acquisitions and innovation.
