Air Infiltration
Air infiltration causes cold drafts and temperature differences within a room, which frequently causes the thermostat to be set higher, so that the average temperature is at the desired level. Soundproof Windows reduces the air infiltration into your home. By reducing the air infiltration, no longer will thermostats have to set high to enjoy a comfortable temperature level inside a home or office.

Material
Vinyl windows have certainly become popular over the past fifteen years for residential uses. They do have advantages over aluminum window frames in general when used as the main window or “primary” window. When used as the second window (“secondary”), many of the advantages disappear completely – largely because the primary window provides the basic window functions and advantages. Secondary windows are used to improve the insulation values of the primary window, and, in the case of Soundproof Windows, they are used to stop noise.
Storm Window
Their definition of a storm window is a second window installed over the first window and is designed to insulate and reduce drafts, creating favorable energy savings. A Soundproof Window can be considered to be a custom storm window, but is designed for reducing noise. In the process, there are other benefits not found in a storm window. Laminated glass, tighter seals and stronger construction combined with a small frame size improve almost all the benefits of a normal storm window. It is not cheap or flimsy, but rather a well made high quality window costing about as much as a replacement window.

About Soundproof Windows, Inc.
They started their company because according to them no one else offered a decent soundproofing window, and they had a sound problem at their own home. They discovered that dual paned windows were woefully inadequate at stopping sound. Having been in the window business for many years in the past and having an engineering background, they set out to tackle the noise problem.
