Concerned about the heavy smoke pollutants caused by burning fine flake aluminum mill scraps in conventional recycling methods, Hamami developed a creative alternative with no hazardous footprint and launched RMI's ALKEMI-polyester in 2005. The ALKEMI line expanded to ALKEMI-acrylic in 2011 and ALKEMI-copper in 2015, and currently boasts the highest recycled content of any surfacing material available in the world.
