Welcome to New York Quarries, the home of the operating companies of the O'Brien family since 1948. Located in Upstate New York, we quarry, fabricate and install two uniquely distinctive types of stone called Alcove Bluestone and Onondaga Limestone, as well as provide stone related services for both commercial and residential projects. We also supply natural stone for building and landscaping purposes and import slate, sandstones, and limestones.

About the Brand
Split wall caps and copings
Split wall caps and copings are made on hydraulic splitting machines; from Alcove Natural Cleft Bluestone. The tops are smooth to rough, and are mixed on the pallets.
wallstone
Dry retaining wallstone is hand selected from quarried material, roughly rectangular in shape with one flat surface and natural faces. Wallstone is sold loose or on 3000 pound pallets.
boulder
At the Mossy Hill Quarry, in Alcove New York, there is a wide variety of Landscape boulder material to choose from. These are all considered sedimentary sandstones and weigh approximately 170 pounds per cubic foot. There are about 12 cubic feet in one ton.
