Business Status

The Legerlite Group has distinguished itself as a pioneer in expanded polystyrene in Eastern Canada. With its two plants located in Montreal and Toronto, they have always been able to adapt to market demands and the needs of customers. The Legerlite team's mission is to be highly efficient in the manufacture of a wide variety of expanded polystyrene products intended primarily for the insulation, construction and packaging markets.

Beyond insulation and geofoam, Legerlite’s EPS is used in product packaging that lowers costs and improves protection, as well as in art, décor, and set‑design thanks to its easy sculpting, cutting, and finishing properties.

EPS is inert, stable and insoluble and cannot contribute to any contamination of soil, water or air. EPS is recyclable in the factory, and the majority of LegerLite's products contain a percentage of recycled EPS.

In 2018, LégerLite were pioneers in the Quebec industry in having its products validated by a third party in order to contribute to LEED V4 certification, thus enabling architects to obtain LEED credits for their buildings.
