About the Company

Flynn was founded in 1978 in Winnipeg, Canada. In our early years, Flynn’s focus was on commercial roofing contracting. We established a reputation across Canada as a top-notch commercial roofing contractor. As architectural products became increasingly complex over the years, we recognized that the best way to serve our clients was by providing them with products and services for the entire building envelope. We branched out to provide a range of architectural products and roofing services, including metal paneling, contract glazing and curtain wall. Today, Flynn employs over 6000 people and serves a diverse portfolio of clients across North America, for the entire building envelope.

Community involvement

Flynn commits to donating $100,000 annually to charities, causes, and organizations that directly support and give back to the communities across North America in which our people live, work and play. One of the many ways we give back to our communities is through our Sports Sponsorship Program. We support grassroots athletic teams ensuring more people have access to sports and recreation and the personal development opportunities it brings. (Please note that at this time, only current employees are eligible to receive Sports Sponsorships for their children’s teams, or teams they volunteer with or coach.)

Green initiatives

Flynn is a founding member of Green Roofs for Healthy Cities, an initiative that aims to increase the awareness of the economic, social, and environmental benefits of green roof infrastructure across North America and rapidly advance the development of the market for green roof products and services. Flynn staff has been early adopters of their training and accreditation for green roof professionals.
