Easy to Lift

EII dumbwaiter systems usually range from 75 to 500 pounds, with lifting capacity based on the cubic inches inside the dumbwaiter cab. Most residential dumbwaiters are in the 75–250 pound range, while larger 500-pound units are available for homes that need to move larger items.

Elevation Innovation Inc. started building residential dumbwaiters and commercial dumbwaiters in July 2005. Within the first six months, the company made the decision to go beyond the regular standards and get its residential and commercial dumbwaiters fully Underwriters Laboratory (UL) certified to meet all North American elevator standards. After 15 years with UL, in January 2022, the company changed its testing company to Intertek ETL. The company was founded by Scott Allen and Andrew Darnley III. Andrew Darnley III the company vice president is an electrical engineer who has a long history with his family in the elevator industry in New York State.
