EcoVantage is about an adventure. Upon learning of a "new" way to process wood , we went to Finland to tour sites that featured thermally-modified wood. What we learned is that thermally-modified wood is environmentally safe, renewable, and better than the commonly used pressure treated wood. What is a relatively new process in the United States has been used in Europe, Canada, and Russia for decades. The uniqueness and the solid science of the process is what appealed to us at EcoVantage.
