Cal-Ga-Crete was founded in 1963 by engineering designer Mr. Frederick Gates. the Ga in Cal-Ga-Crete originated from the first 2 letters of Mr. Gates name. the founder had a distinguished career including working for a defense aviation company during WW II, a pre-fab homes manufacturer, a real estate developer and a cement manufacturer. Mr. Gates quickly developed an impressive range of concrete tile products. most of these are still available today.
