The sustainable evolution that has exploded in the mainstream during the past few years is important for all of us in order to reduce waste, conserve energy and take better care of our planet. It sometimes can be difficult to determine how green a company truly is. ATAS International, Inc.—from the front office to the production facility to our various manufacturing sites—has taken many steps to ensure we reduce our carbon footprint, improve our energy efficiency and manufacture sustainable products.
Sustainable Products
ATAS products may contribute to LEED® credits and is a participant in the Metal Construction Association (MCA) industry-wide Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for roll formed wall and roof cladding systems in aluminum and steel. Our Isoleren Insulated Metal Panels (IMPs) for walls and roofs, cool roofing paint coatings, and above sheathing ventilation shims, all contribute to sustainable energy efficient buildings. We manufacture a variety of solar ready metal roof systems. Metal is the ideal choice for rooftop solar, as it has a greater life expectancy than the solar panels. As well, standing seam metal roof panels provide a natural platform for attaching the solar panels without any roof penetrations. ATAS also manufactures InSpire, a solar air heating metal wall panel system, which preheats outdoor air prior to bringing it into the building. This reduces winter heating costs and lowers operating carbon emissions.
