ALPI’s history reflects a manufacturing tradition devoted to excellence, beginning with Pietro Alpi, who founded the company in 1919. Starting as a workshop of fine cabinetry, ALPI became an industrial leader in decorative surfaces and was the first company in the world to industrialize the production process of wood composites. In 1961, the company presented ALPIlignum, the first composite veneer, made possible through technological research and a strong background in fine woodworking.
